The story of this form
A cremation urn built as a chunky faceted polyhedron, the body composed of large flat triangular and pentagonal planes that meet at hard edges. The material
A composite: real ceramic particles held in a resin binder. The ceramic is what you feel, the weight and the coolness of stone. The binder holds it in one continuous form and makes it less brittle than fired pottery.
There is no glaze on it. The stone-white color and the velvet-matte surface are the material itself, running all the way through, so there is no coating to chip away.
